Last week journalists of popular Austrian media have visited Lviv to discover the city as well as touristic and cultural potential of Western Ukraine. Lviv IT Cluster got a chance to show another side of Lviv and introduce them to local IT industry.
14 journalists from well-known Austrian media have visited Lviv within a study tour, organized by OeAD Cooperation Office Lviv. The main aim of the tour was to introduce Lviv as a historical and cultural center with a big heritage.
Lviv IT Cluster presented Lviv also as a growing center of IT industry. Together with the Cluster journalists visited three biggest IT companies in Lviv – SoftServe, Eleks, and N-iX. They learned how IT companies work in Ukraine and which technologies they use, as well as about the projects the companies are proud of.
SoftServe presented their project BioLock, a system which recognizes a specific driver using some electrodes and sensors on the steering wheel. Eleks talked about its R&D department projects and at N-iX, the journalists had an opportunity to see their VR projects.
Lviv IT Cluster presented its own projects too. Among them – new and modernized educational programs at Lviv universities, the biggest tech conference in Eastern Europe – IT Arena, Innovation District IT Park, a house for IT community, a loyalty program IT Club, a magazine about IT industry in the city – ITID Lviv, etc.
