Lviv IT Cluster Is Searching for Young Talents in Regional Schools

IT Future, an educational project of Lviv IT Cluster, is expanding. Now lectures about IT will take place not only in Lviv but also in schools throughout the region. In total, Lviv IT Cluster is planning to visit 80 schools: 50 – in Lviv, and 30 – in the region.

The overall goal of IT Future – to help high school students to understand the benefits of work in IT, explain which subjects are the most important and how can you realize yourself in the industry. For many students, these lectures play the decisive role when it comes to choosing the future profession since they have a chance to meet representatives of IT industry and understand how can you succeed in the area.

juniors8“We decided to expand IT Future, because we believe that there are a lot of IT talents in the region, – notes Stepan Veselovskyi, Lviv IT Cluster CEO. It is important for us to let them know about opportunities that this industry has to offer and help them choose technical universities in Lviv. It is a huge step for the project and IT industry in general, since this way we’re increasing the number of professionals that will work in Lviv companies in a couple of years”.
fThe tour through schools in Lviv and Lviv region will begin in the middle of March. Except for Lviv, the Cluster will visit schools in Peremyshliany, Sokal, Radekhiv, Boryslav, Zhovkva, Novoyavorivsk, Chervonohrad, Drohobych and other towns of the region. The schools have been chosen based on university entrance Maths exam results.

Currently, the managers are scheduling the school visits. It is known, that it is going to be rather intense, since the Cluster has an ambitious goal – to visit 80 schools.
juniors11IT Future – an educational project of Lviv IT Cluster within which IT professionals conduct introductory lectures about IT in schools. Since the project was launched, more than 100 schools have been visited with lectures for more than 1500 students.
