Every week students of the Internet of Things Bachelor’s Program have a chance to listen to some of the best Lviv IT specialists. Lviv IT Cluster CEO Stepan Veselovskyi has recently visited the class “Introduction to IoT”. He talked about the development of IT industry in Lviv and how to prevent corruption at universities.

According to Stepan Veselovskyi, Lviv – is a city where IT is developing at a very high rate. In particular, more than 15% of Ukrainian IT professionals are based here, as well as over 200 companies. What is more important – these figures are constantly growing.

Thus, there is a high demand for new professional staff in Lviv. Actually, one of the main reasons for launching the Internet of Things program – is to train experts that will be ready to work in IT industry of the city.

The Internet of Things program at Lviv Polytechnic National University – is a program that shows fundamentally new teaching standards. It involves active cooperation between students and experts, following the latest European and American practices, as well as adherence to the principles of the rule of law. There is no corruption here: teachers and students agreed to work according to these standards, and even the slightest hint of corruption will be punished accordingly.

Corruption – is one of the things that has to be eradicated from the life of Ukrainians. Everything starts with day-to-day corruption – petty bribery. Everyone has to look after themselves, and we are confident that our students are responsible citizens and won’t violate the law. If they ever feel any pressure on behalf of the teachers, they always can contact relevant hotlines or the Cluster – stated Stepan Veselovskyi.

The lecture delivered by Stepan Veselovskyi was one of the last lectures of the program in 2016. However, according to one of the founders of the program Zenoviy Veres, student meetings with IT professionals will continue next semester.
