5 students of the Data Science & Intelligent Systems Bachelor’s Program at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv will have a chance to get a scholarship from the Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), which will cover the first two years of study.
The Bachelor’s Program in Data Science & Intelligent Systems will be launched in September at the Faculty of Electronics at LNU. It’s an innovative educational program initiated by Lviv IT Cluster together with IT industry and academics. As it turned out, not just IT companies are interested in improving and modernizing the Ukrainian education system.
“Over the last decade, a massive explosion in the data generated and retained by companies and public has produced an increasing demand for professionals skilled in Data Science. Ukrainian data scientists, to be competitive on the international market, should possess the same set of knowledge and skills, as professionals from around the world. This is why Western NIS Enterprise Fund is providing five scholarships for students pursuing the Data Science & Intelligent Systems Program at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv that were jointly developed by Lviv IT Cluster with university faculty. Students completing this course of study will become leaders in the industry and use the newly gained knowledge and skills to drive change in Ukraine and globally. Moreover, we are glad to partner with Lviv IT Cluster and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, showing how business can effectively work in unison with educational institutions to meet market demands“. – comments Jaroslawa Z. Johnson, President and CEO, Western NIS Enterprise Fund.
