GlobalLogic one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine, keeps growing in 2022

22 Aug, 2022
The international IT company GlobalLogic traditionally entered the top three IT companies in Ukraine by the number of specialists in July 2022. Since the beginning of the war, GlobalLogic has not only maintained cooperation with most specialists, but also became the only one of the top 3 to grow in the last 6 months.

Despite the optimistic reports on the foreign currency inflows from the IT industry to the economy of Ukraine for the first half of 2022, most of the TOP-50 largest IT companies in Ukraine stopped growth or even reduced the number of specialists (compared to the beginning of the year). The total number of IT specialists cooperating with the TOP-50 has decreased by almost three thousand people, according to the research published by DOU.

At the same time, GlobalLogic became the only company from the top three that not only maintained cooperation with current specialists, but also grew in people in the first half of 2022. Currently, the company in Ukraine cooperates with more than 7,300 specialists. The company used a similar approach in the first “covid” year. Then GlobalLogic became the only one of the top 5 IT companies that grew in the first half of 2020.

With the beginning of a full-scale war, most of the company’s project positions are closed by internal specialists whose project has ended. A total of 400 positions were closed in the six months of 2022, allowing GlobalLogic to continue to support the vast majority of its professionals and their families.

“While most businesses cut back on expenses during the period of uncertainty, we are focused on keeping our specialists,” says GlobalLogic Senior Vice President Andriy Yavorskyi. – Both during the coronavirus pandemic and with the start of a full-scale war, our strategy remains unchanged – we do everything possible to support our specialists and maintain our cooperation.”

Even on the first day of the full-scale invasion, GlobalLogic provided financial support to all specialists of the company in Ukraine without exception, and also helped specialists and their family members to relocate safely in the middle of Ukraine or beyond.

Despite the focus on internal specialists, GlobalLogic continues to attract new specialists from the market to projects. As of August 2022, GlobalLogic has more than 300 open offers for Ukrainians, many of which are in remote mode, that is, remote cooperation. The company is looking for not only experienced specialists, but also beginners who are just taking their first steps in IT.

The most popular project specializations at GlobalLogic are DevOps, Python, JavaScript, QA auto, .NET.
