One of the World’s Greatest Economists, Jonathan Woetzel to Speak at Lviv IT Jazz

Lviv IT Jazz conference, held on June 29-July 1, 2018 in Lviv, is an executive level event which brings together foreign and local government and business leaders, investors to discuss Ukraine’s economy and global IT industry. This year, McKinsey Global Institute founder – Jonathan Woetzel will speak at the event.

Jonathan Woetzel researches global economic trends, urbanization, and sustainable economic development, advises national governments and municipalities in 40 geographic locations around the world. On top of that, Woetzel is the founder of McKinsey China and has been working with Chinese companies since 1985 to implement the strategy of global leadership of the region. A leading researcher of the Chinese economy, Woetzel wrote and co-authored multiple books, such as Capitalist China. Strategies for a Revolutionized Economy, Operation China: From Strategy to Execution, One Hour China, No Ordinary Disruption etc.

Lviv IT Jazz 2018 will focus on several areas: interaction with public administration and infrastructure projects, investment and IT financing. George Myhal, CEO at one of the world’s largest investment companies, Brookfield Management, which assets portfolio reach $ 285 billion, will also speak at the event. Among Brookfield’s major real estate assets there is World Financial Center in New York (a complex which includes World Trade Center), Canary Wharf London’s business district, and building complex at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Bank of America Plaza in Los Angeles. The directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are also listed among the speakers of IT Jazz alongside with the Ukrainian government officials and leaders of leading Ukrainian IT companies.

The conference will be held on June 29 – July 1 in the midst of the international jazz festival Leopolis Jazz Fest. Lviv IT Jazz is organized by Lviv IT Cluster, which has become an exclusive partner of Leopolis Jazz Fest this year. Speeches and panel discussions will take place on June 29 and July 1 at the courtyard of the City Hall at the Leopolis Jazz Fest IT Lounge. The second day of the conference, June 30 will be devoted to the groundbreaking ceremony of the Innovation District IT Park – the largest infrastructure project in Lviv. The press conference and the reception will take place on the site of the future construction, Chmoly Street, 1.
