Student Admission for Free Training within the IT Generation Project Has Begun

On August 8, the third stage of the IT Generation educational project began. Applications will be open for two weeks and Ukrainan citizens who want to change their profession and learn an IT specialty are encouraged to apply.

The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation in partnership with the Binance Charity and the Lviv IT Cluster, with the support of the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” and the “Digital, Inclusive, Accessible: Support to Digitalization of Public Services in Ukraine” project implemented by UNDP in Ukraine with the support of Sweden.

To participate in IT Generation, head to the project’s platform, choose a school and study program and submit an application via the selected school’s website.

The selection of students will be carried out by the school, in particular through testing and interviews. The list of the required documents can be found on the project’s platform, in the FAQ section and on school websites.

Ukrainians aged 21-60 who have never studied IT specialties before and have no work experience in the field can get a new qualification. Knowledge of the English language at the B1 level is recommended. Duration of study: 2–6 months depending on the study program.

Available study programs:

  • technical: FrontEnd; QA; JavaScript; Java; Python, Blockchain 
  • non-technical: Project/Product Management; UI/UX Design; Business Analysis; HR/Recruiting; Digital Marketing.

About 1,000 Ukrainians will be able to master the new career.

IT Generation is an educational project that offers free training in IT specialties for citizens who don’t have experience in this field. The project started on June 29. Applications from IT schools were accepted from July 7 to July 21. 23 educational institutions participate in IT Generation.

The main goal of IT Generation is to help talented Ukrainians find themselves in one of the most promising tech areas and develop the Ukrainian economy for the victory and successful future of our country.
