School competition IT Challenge starts in Lviv

Lviv City Council together with Lviv National Polytechnic University and Lviv IT Cluster are announcing the start of Information Technology competition IT Challenge.

The competition will be divided into 3 stages – online (February, 4), on-site (February, 18), project presentations (April). The first stage will consist of taking an online test. During the second stage, students have to be physically present at the university library. The third stage includes a creative task on one of the chosen topics: game/website/symbols for IT problems development. The last stage will be supported by Lviv IT Cluster.

To participate in IT Challenge you need to be in 7-11 grade. Except having a computer and internet connection, nothing else is needed. The winner of the competition will get a scholarship from Lviv IT Cluster, and the winning school – a computer lab.

IT competition takes place annually since 2013. Earlier it was called Lviv CSIT, since recently – IT Challenge.
Andriy Zavoyko from Lviv gymnasium Yevshan won the competition last year. As a prize, he received a 10 thousand UAH scholarship from Lviv IT Cluster, and his school – a computer lab and an interactive board. Other participants received gifts from Lviv IT companies.
