How it works
A developed solution consists of a mobile application and LCD display located right at the entrance to the parking. Applying machine learning algorithms, the system analyses the images received from the cameras placed on the roof. Having been processed, the information immediately appears on the screen showing free, occupied, and reserved parking spots.
Unlike similar market solutions offered, smart parking system doesn’t need hundreds of sensors and miles of cables to function effectively. Thus, it’s a perfect solution for open parking spaces that haven’t been originally equipped with needed digital systems. SoftServe’s solution deploys only a few low-priced cameras.
What’s next
In autumn, in conjunction with Cisco, one of its largest clients, SoftServe partnered with the Lviv City Council to implement a pilot project of installing smart parking system in Lviv. At first stage, they are to launch a prototype system analyzing occupied spots within the three biggest parking spaces located in the city center.
