IoT Program Students – Winners of Digital Hackathon

Students of the innovative degree program Internet of Things, launched last year by Lviv IT Cluster and local tech companies, won the two-day Digital Hackathon organized by Lviv Tech Startup School which took place on October 27-28.  

Lviv Tech Startup School was recently opened within Lviv Polytechnic National University. It’s a platform that promotes creative ideas and student startups, as well as tries to establish cooperation between students and various business structures. Digital Hackathon was the first hackathon organized by the school. 6 student team participated in it. In a day, teams went through a process of getting an idea to presenting a product.

IoT program students won with an idea which could make communication between students better. “We were developing a project that could solve the problem of communication between students and the youth. When there’s a need to find a free field, or a player for different types of sports, football, for example” – says Nazar Zavarynskyi, a member of the winning team and a second-year student at IoT.

The jury of the hackathon included representatives of the main partner company – AVIVA, a famous crowdfunding expert Rainer Schenk and Education Director of Lviv IT Cluster – Zenoviy Veres.

As a prize, the winners have received headphones and a monopod.
