United for Health: Mass Testing in Lviv and Lviv Region Continues


The campaign of mass testing for COVID-19 in Lviv and the region, initiated by Lviv IT Cluster in cooperation with the Lviv Regional State Administration, continues. Here we sum up the results of one more week of mass testing.

As part of the Lviv IT Cluster’s emergency initiative United for Health, the testing of residents of Lviv and Lviv region continues, i.e., those who returned from foreign countries or were in contact with infected individuals, doctors, as well as those who have symptoms. Also, Lviv IT Cluster, in cooperation with Riel, conducted testing of journalists who have been active in the time of pandemic and are at risk for infection.

As a reminder, Lviv IT Cluster directed part of the funds to the Insurance Stabilization Fund for medical staff in Lviv and the region, which provides all healthcare practitioners who were infected while working with coronavirus patients with a lump sum payment.

481 people were tested in Lviv region this week. Tests revealed 0 suspected coronavirus cases. The individuals will be checked using PCR tests afterward. In total, 19037 people in Lviv region were tested for COVID-19, of which 22 were positive.

In Lviv, 950 people were tested this week, and 7 tests were found to be positive. The individuals will be checked using PCR tests afterward.

In total, the number of people who were tested during the mass testing campaign in Lviv is 10808, of which 132 are positive.
