Experts predict that the era of quantum computers will peak in 10 years, but today this technology is actively studied and researched by tech giants IBM, Microsoft, Google, Intel, Alibaba, and others. Quantum technologies are also being studied at SoftServe <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the R&#038;D department of the company responsible for developing deep-tech innovations for businesses is already researching the possibility of building practical solutions based on quantum computing for the company\u2019s customers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new bachelor\u2019s program will allow the company to expand its research towards quantum computing and programming, attracting students of the program in joint research. Instead, students will have the opportunity to integrate into the industry and gain experience in one of the most promising technologies in the world from the first year, studying and working together with SoftServe experts.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Very soon, quantum computers will radically change the world around us, affecting entire industries <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">financial services, the design of new materials, pharma industry, and logistics. It is important to understand today how we will use this technology in 5 to 10 years. I am very pleased that this program will start at Lviv University as similar programs begin to appear worldwide and here we are among the pioneers. This program is an opportunity to grow specialists who are able to work and compete at the global level. Students of this program will receive a wide range of knowledge <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">they will understand physics and will be able to solve complex problems, and on the other hand, they will study software engineering and would have a solid knowledge of cloud technologies<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d comments <\/span><b>Mykola Maksymenko<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, R&#038;D Director, SoftServe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of Theoretical Physics has been conducting scientific research in the field of quantum information for more than 20 years. Over the past 10 years, students of the Master\u2019s degree program learned about quantum information and quantum computing within the course on \u201cFundamental Problems of Quantum Mechanics\u201d. We expanded this direction into a full bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree educational programs \u201cQuantum Computers and Quantum Programming\u201d opening in 2020. We are pleased that this educational program was created in cooperation with SoftServe,\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comments Prof. <\/span><b>Volodymyr Tkachuk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, curator of the degree program \u201cQuantum Computers and Quantum Programming\u201d, Head of the Professor Ivan Vakarchuk Department of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Physics, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program \u201cQuantum computers and quantum programming\u201d involves the study of physics, mathematical, and computer science subjects.
