On July 16, 2021, the Rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Melnyk, and GlobalLogic Head of the Lviv office Ihor Kostiv signed a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation between the institutions. The aim of the document is the cooperation between the parties in order to develop their innovative, scientific and educational potential through the implementation of co-projects and the dual-mode of study programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In particular, Lviv University and GlobalLogic agreed to cooperate in the implementation, support, and modernization of innovative educational programs in the field of IT and foster the new forms of educational process development. The most important among them are dual and distance education, new innovative forms of lectures, practical and laboratory classes.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nIt is necessary to mention that cooperation between Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and GlobalLogic has already had some positive results, in particular in the context of a dual form of education introduction. This year we have already started to enroll students for a new educational program<\/span> \u201cHigh-performance computing\u201d <\/span>at<\/span> the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Technology,<\/span><\/a> where the training will take place in a dual form of studying and the curriculum was developed jointly with GlobalLogic experts.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nRector Volodymyr Melnyk stressed that for Lviv University the introduction of a dual form of education and the use of the latest methods in the educational process is one of the strategic tasks.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are one of the first universities in Ukraine to introduce this form of education together with the IT industry, which today sets a trend in cooperation with higher education institutions, including the knowledge industry. We wholeheartedly thank GlobalLogic for its support. I am convinced that thanks to close cooperation with one of the world\u2019s leading IT companies, we will be able to even more actively improve the educational process at Lviv University, to bring it to a whole new level. Innovative models of academic activity are the leading world trend, whereby education and employment are interrelated processes,\u201d <\/span><\/i>Volodymyr Melnyk<\/b> assured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Igor Kostiv, Head of the Lviv office of GlobalLogic, thanked Lviv University for its willingness to cooperate and stressed that \u201cGlobalLogic is constantly looking for young qualified professionals.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCooperation with Lviv University is a way to provide students with all the necessary knowledge and prepare them for the needs of the IT market at an early stage. The main task of the dual form of education is to bridge the gap between theory and practice, which in return will increase students\u2019 motivation to learn, and IT companies will have the opportunity to participate in an IT specialist formation from the first year of study. Now we are working for the future, but we are confident that we have made the right choice that will provide the IT industry with a large number of skilled professionals,\u201d <\/span><\/i>mentioned<\/span> Ihor Kostiv.

According to the Memorandum of Cooperation between the University and a leading IT company, GlobalLogic specialists will also teach courses, conduct seminars, training, and workshops at the University, aimed at deepening the practical component of the educational process at Lviv University.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nIn the field of research and innovation, Lviv University teachers and students will help the company\u2019s representatives to draw up projects, offers, know-how oriented on GlobalLogic activities improvement.<\/p>\n
