There was a request from our soldiers for these very cars. The vehicles are mobile, convenient, and capable to transport large-caliber weapons and wounded soldiers. Despite all this, we managed to deliver 12 vehicles to the front line since April. Nine of them we bought abroad, transported to Ukraine, checked up, and sent to the army. The remaining three cars we only helped to transport and send to the front line. But this isn’t all. The vehicles didn’t go to our soldiers empty: we fully loaded each car with humanitarian aid before sending it,” says Andriy Shevchyk, managing partner at Vakoms.

Another company’s volunteering initiative is involvement in drone production. These drones are assembled in Ukraine, they are efficient and three times cheaper than the ready-made devices. The team is launching the complete production line including 3D printing, soldering, configuration, modernization, and repair. There’s also a program for pilot training on simulators.

One of the Vakoms’ PMs is involved in drone procurement. He managed to collect over half a million hryvnias and purchase 11 drones and many ammunition items in just 2.5 months. Nearly all company employees ever collected, purchased, and sent to the front line some necessary stuff. Of course, there are several leading bee-javelins (it’s what we now call volunteers in Ukraine), and others mostly make financial contributions.

DevOps specialists of Vakoms are fighting on the cyber front, taking down Moscow sites and creating disruptions in the work of the state services. Since the beginning of the war, the number of propaganda resources that have been shut down has reached a thousand. Vakoms engineers are also helping with laptops: buy brand new ones or check old company gadgets, make the necessary configurations and send the devices to the military.

“We encourage our teammates to work, it’s crucial nowadays. We also realize that helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine is equally important. We call our team to volunteer and help when possible. I want to emphasize that each volunteering task involves a lot of people and no outcome would be possible without them. Everybody matters and does their best to make sure our soldiers have all they need. That’s why I want to thank every Ukrainian for such a powerful motivation. The victory will be ours!
