GigaCloud became the first Ukrainian cloud operator to receive a certificate of compliance with the PCI DSS information security standard. The GigaCenter data center, which together with GigaCloud is part of the GIGAGROUP group of companies, has also been certified according to this standard.<\/p>\n

Money on a bank card is the most desirable target for cyberattacks all around the world. To ensure the protection of confidential customer data, companies must comply with the PCI DSS standard developed by leading international payment systems. It sets strict and precise requirements for the security of IT infrastructure components and the integrity of the payment system.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are tens of thousands of organizations in Ukraine that directly interact with customer payment card data,\u201d<\/span><\/i> says <\/span>Anton Khvastunov<\/b>, co-owner of GigaCloud and business development director of GIGAGROUP. <\/span>\u2013<\/span> \u201cIndependent certification under the PCI DSS standard can take them several years. If the company is located in a cloud or data center with PCI DSS, the audit period and the cost of providing the appropriate level of data protection and its support are reduced many times\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore certification, GigaCloud and GigaCenter already had ISO 27001 international information security certificates. This helped to pass the PCI DSS audit in the shortest possible time,\u201d<\/span><\/i> says <\/span>Kyrylo Naumenko<\/b>, CTO of GigaCloud. <\/span>\u201cFrom now on, our customers have the opportunity to be accommodated on two technical platforms at once certified according to this standard: in GigaCenter and BeMobile data centers\u201d.<\/p>\n

The certification was performed by the company \u201cIT Specialist\u201d. <\/span>Anatoliy Zhuravlyov<\/b>, Director of IT Information Specialist\u2019s Audit and Certification Department, says: <\/span>\u201cOur company has wide experience in conducting audits for compliance with the PCI DSS standard in Ukraine, CIS countries and Europe. We know how information security processes are organized in many fintech companies and banks. We have something to compare with and we can say with confidence that all processes related to information security in GigaCloud and GigaCenter are organized at a high level. The discrepancies found during the audit concerned only the specifications of the standard requirements, there were no critical remarks\u201d.<\/p>\n
