On April 26, 189 people received positive test results; in total, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">62,741 residents of Lviv were diagnosed with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. Due to the situation, the local authorities are putting maximum effort to provide extra beds for patients both in hospitals and other facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lviv City Council has already equipped the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lviv Medical College on Mykolaychuka street with 350 beds. Lviv IT Cluster members companies including EPAM, Lohika, N-iX, Perfectial, and Tekhnika Dlia Biznesu<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> contributed to the initiative, in particular, the companies provided bedside table<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor more than a year, Lviv business has helped local hospitals by providing them with both expensive equipment, such as oxygen concentrators, lung ventilation equipment, etc. and ordinary but vital things needed for patients. The pandemic is not an easy time for entrepreneurs themselves, but they find time and resources to help us too,\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">points out <\/span><b>Victoria Dovzhyk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">advisor to the Lviv City Mayor.<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cYes, the local authorities continue to arrange additional hospital beds for the COVID-19 patients. But since we allocate funds from the city budget, we sometimes lack finances for things like extra furniture. We are grateful to Lviv IT Cluster and its member companies which contributed to the initiative by providing bedside tables. This is a good example of cooperation between the local authorities and business in a matter important for all Lviv residents.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Lviv City Council plans to arrange extra hospital beds in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Polyclinic Department \u21162 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kniaz Lev 1st Municipal Clinical Hospital. According to Lviv City Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, about 3,000 square meters <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be allocated for a separate department, which will be isolated from the hospital.
