Lviv IT Cluster, with the support of the Lviv City Council, received 50 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine (Covishield), which have already been used to vaccinate representatives of the association\u2019s member companies.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As part of the campaign aimed to vaccinate public figures and promote the COVID-19 vaccine, 50 leaders of Lviv tech companies have been vaccinated. The AstraZeneca vaccine (Covishield) was provided by the city authorities. Lviv IT Cluster spread the information about vaccination within the community, and, as a result, top managers from 50 companies volunteered for vaccination. These doses of the vaccine were left over after the vaccination campaign of health care workers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cTech companies were among the first in Lviv to join the city\u2019s fight against the pandemic \u2013 they contributed to the purchase of tests, provided funds, and equipment for our hospitals, personal protective equipment for health care workers. We are very grateful to them and believe that our support for such a caring business is timely. We would also like to thank the leaders of the companies for their readiness to test the safety of the vaccine on themselves and highlight the importance of the vaccination process in overcoming the coronavirus pandemic,\u201d <\/span><\/i>comments<\/span> Andriy Moskalenko<\/b>, First Deputy Mayor of Lviv.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Since the beginning of the week, 50 top managers of Lviv\u2019s tech companies have been vaccinated. In such a way, Lviv IT Cluster supports the vaccination campaign and tries to promote it among the city\u2019s tech community.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe are glad that together with the city authorities we have launched the vaccination process of the tech industry representatives.<\/span><\/i> Today, almost 30,000 people work in the tech industry in Lviv, which is a large part of the economically active population. We believe that it is important to show positive examples to promote vaccination, therefore, together with the management of our member companies, we decided to show this first hand. 50 executives from local tech companies have already been vaccinated and I am confident this will have a good impact on the perceptions towards vaccination within our large community,<\/span><\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/i> adds <\/span>Stepan Veselovskyi<\/b>, CEO, Lviv IT Cluster.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

COVID-19 vaccination campaign started in the Lviv region on February 25. The region received 42,200 doses of AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine, first used to vaccinate health care workers of the Infectious Diseases Hospital and other medical facilities that work with COVID-19 patients.
