Japan birthed the crowdfunding phenomenon which, last year, generated funds of over $17 billion<\/strong> in North America alone. In May 2020, socially responsible Japanese IT firm, Freewill<\/a>, launched its latest digital offering, Spin<\/a>\u2014a global funding platform developed by Ukraine\u2019s ELEKS<\/a>. The platform uses cutting-edge blockchain technology<\/a> which offers complete transparency of a project\u2019s donation and transaction chain, from anywhere in the world. It\u2019s this financial candour that\u2019s made blockchain-enabled crowdfunding increasingly successful in recent years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Japan has a long heritage of innovative social development drives, and Spin\u2019s creators envisage an international community of \u201csocial parents\u201d and mentors\u2014crowdfunders whose investments help to nurture young talent and eco-oriented organisations across the globe.
