Applicants submitted 7,950 applications for innovative programs created with the support of the Lviv IT Cluster at four universities in the city. The BSc program in Cybersecurity at the Lviv Polytechnic turned out to be the most popular this year.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1,480 prospective students applied for the Bachelor\u2019s program in Cybersecurity. This program also has the maximum capacity for scholarships from the state \u2013 133 students will have a chance to study for free.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cybersecurity programs at other universities are also popular with this year\u2019s applicants. 544 applicants chose a program at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and 244 \u2013 want to study at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lviv State University of Life Safety<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lviv State University of Life Safety doesn\u2019t offer any state scholarships, and all of the students will have to pay a tuition fee.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Software Engineering program at I<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">van Franko National University of Lviv<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> received 851 applications. The maximum capacity of the program is 75 students. This means that more than 11 applicants are competing for 1 place. It is worth noting that this program offers only 7 places with a scholarship from the state.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traditionally, the Artificial Intelligence program at Lviv Polytechnic National University is one of the most popular among applicants. This year, it received 915 applications, with a maximum capacity of 120 students and 86 scholarships.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lviv IT Cluster also helped to launch a modernized program at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. This year, the Graphic Design program gained popularity among 358 applicants. In total, the new program has the capacity of 44 students, 15 of which will receive scholarships.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Business Analytics &#038; Data Science program at the Lviv Polytechnic National University received 508 applications (with a maximum capacity of 90 students). The Data Science &#038; Intelligent Systems program has similar figures \u2013 460 applications (with a maximum capacity of 100 students). The field of Data Science in recent years has been in great demand among applicants, as the need for relevant specialists is constantly growing.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-technical majors are also popular among this year\u2019s applicants <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for example, the HR Management program at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Although the program has only 5 scholarships, with a maximum capacity of 50 students, 135 applicants have chosen this program.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The situation in the IT Sales Management program at the Lviv Polytechnic National University is similar. 257 applicants chose the program, although only 35 will be able to study there (14 will receive scholarships).<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the russian invasion, the demand for cybersecurity programs increased significantly. Yet, a major in the Internet of Things at Lviv Polytechnic National University<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has remained a popular degree among students for the past several years. In 2022, the program received 753 applications. Only 150 students will be able to study at the program, 76 of them will receive scholarships from the state.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The interest in other hardware programs remains stable: Robotics at Lviv Polytechnic National University, Sensor &#038; Analytical Systems, and Electronics &#038; Computer Systems at the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ivan Franko National University of Lviv<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The war has definately reshaped this year\u2019s enrollment. Many graduates have chosen higher education institutions in the EU. But the popularity of Bachelor\u2019s programs, which have been modernized and supported by the Lviv IT Cluster, continues to grow, and applicants\u2019 interests continue to expand.
