Students of the vocational school \u211629, enrolled in the program \u201cInformation Processing and Software Operator\u201d are now reading a course on the basics of QA. The course was launched for the first time in the vocational school as part of the <\/span><\/i>Lviv IT Cluster Academy project<\/span><\/i> \u2013<\/span> the Cluster\u2019s education initiative that aims to engage leading specialists from IT companies in teaching technical disciplines.
\n<\/span><\/i>
\nDuring the first semester, Lviv IT Cluster involved teachers in courses on the basics of programming, algorithms and data structure, and English for professional purposes. In the second semester, <\/span>QAGroup<\/span><\/a> joined the teaching process <\/span>\u2013<\/span> the company\u2019s representatives created and successfully implemented the basics of the QA pilot course.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"img_8199\"This course introduces the world of IT to the students. The acquired knowledge will be helpful in further studying and development in the IT field. After completing the course and its practical part, the students will be ready to start working in the tech sphere as Trainee Engineers.
\n<\/span>
\nThe course program is intensive <\/span>\u2013<\/span> it consists of 10 modules <\/span>\u2013<\/span> with theoretical and practical classes. In each of them, students learn new material, do homework to remember the knowledge, and receive feedback from teachers. Together with the teacher, they write test cases, find bugs, and test systems; in a group, they perform functional testing with examples and test mobile apps and games.
\n<\/span>
\n\u201cThis course highlights essential information on software product development. We want to open for students the world of IT, in which a new vision is created and implemented, and technology is used for the people\u2019s benefit. We practice game-based learning so that every student can fill as a tech world participant. Practitioners not only teach students but also share their own experiences. Our goal is to introduce students to the development processes, business analysis fundamentals, testing, and quality assurance basics. \nQA engineers, who are currently working in IT companies, are teachers of the course. They share their own experience working on real projects and specifics of teamwork. Some of them once also studied at the QAGroup platform, signifying a high level of training services. Teachers at a pilot course on the QA basics are:

\nSince the beginning of the semester, students have already analyzed the Air Alarm app, written a user story, and trained to work in the Jira environment. This allowed them to try themselves as testers and work out the acquired knowledge on the project that is real and close to them. The course will end with the final testing to assess the level and quality of knowledge and skills acquired by students.

\n\u201cI really like the Basics of QA lessons. I love the way the teacher explains various exciting topics. It\u2019s easy to comprehend the information. I am very pleased that I\u2019m doing this course. I attend online classes and submit my homework in time. I like this format <\/span><\/i>\u2013<\/span> a lot of useful information, it motivates me to listen and learn.
