Lviv IT Cluster, together with Kormotech and Enzym Group, has taken responsibility for restoring a residential building at 46 Konovaltsia Street. The building was severely damaged during a Russian airstrike in September this year. A total of 9,500,000 UAH has been raised for the reconstruction efforts.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 28, the Lviv IT Cluster Charity Fund, in partnership with the Lviv City Council and Kormotech and Enzym Group companies, signed a memorandum of cooperation to restore the residential building. The project aims to conduct emergency stabilization and restoration works, allowing displaced families to return to their homes as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Transparency in all processes is crucial to us. Our primary duties include ensuring professional and fair management, following all necessary procedures, and obtaining the required permits. We believe that once the work is completed, the building will regain its former appearance and become a new gem of our city,”<\/em> said Stepan Veselovskyi<\/strong>, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The project has already held a competition to select a project organization. Emergency stabilization works will soon begin to prevent further deterioration of the building. Shortly after, a tender to select the general contractor for the restoration phase will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lviv IT Cluster Fund has allocated 1,000,000 UAH for the initiative, with an additional 3,500,000 UAH raised through contributions from member companies. The largest donations came from Intellias<\/a> and Avenga<\/a>, along with support from Sombra<\/a>, Linkup Studio<\/a>, Forbytes<\/a>, Impressit<\/a>, Relevant Software<\/a>, PLVision<\/a>, Embrox<\/a>, CharStudio<\/a>, Jappware<\/a>, Deviark<\/a>, Scimus<\/a>, Simulmedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our strength lies in unity. It is the responsibility of businesses to come together whenever the need arises. The insidious attack on Lviv in September was one such moment. Intellias immediately responded to the Lviv IT Cluster\u2019s initiative to help rebuild damaged buildings. We cannot stand aside from the suffering that the enemy brings to Ukrainians. Together, we will restore people’s homes,”<\/em> said Vitaly Sedler<\/strong>, CEO and co-founder of Intellias.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“We truly appreciate the opportunity to join the initiative of the Lviv IT Cluster. The involvement of tech companies in the building’s reconstruction once again emphasizes the tech industry’s understanding of the importance of the city’s development and recovery. Despite being an international business with projects beyond Ukraine, it is essential for us to show that we are here, that we remain present and continue working despite the war. It matters to us that the community grows, recovers, and the city is rebuilt,”<\/em> emphasized Volodymyr Pavlishevskyi<\/strong>, VP Group Finance at Avenga.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The project has also received significant contributions from Kormotech, a pet food producer, and Enzym Group, a biotechnology company and leader in Ukraine\u2019s yeast product market. The companies donated 3,000,000 UAH and 2,000,000 UAH, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We engage in many charitable and social projects, and supporting the Lviv community and Ukraine during the war is one of our priorities. We have previously assisted at the Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, and of course, we couldn’t remain indifferent in Lviv, our home. As responsible corporate citizens, we aim to contribute to victory and rebuilding of our country,”<\/em> emphasized Maria Stefanyshyn<\/strong>, Administrative Director of Kormotech.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“Even in the darkest times, we take action. After the missile strike on Lviv on September 4, both family businesses under the Vovk family \u2014 Kormotech and Enzym Group \u2014 joined the reconstruction efforts. When the City Council reached out to responsible businesses, we quickly agreed to allocate 5,000,000 UAH in an emergency meeting. Our designated project is the residential building at 46 Konovaltsia Street, which suffered significant damage. We will carry out the restoration together with the Lviv IT Cluster. Our plan involves thorough preparatory work, including technical assessments and project analysis, to swiftly address the damage,”<\/em> said Andriy Tsehelyk<\/strong>, CEO of Enzym Group.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The project is part of the Lviv City Council\u2019s initiative Adopt a Building, which aims to involve Ukrainian and international businesses, as well as charitable organizations, in restoring buildings destroyed by the enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Adopt a Building initiative is crucial for our city, allowing residents to return to their homes. Unfortunately, two residents lost their lives at 46 Konovaltsia Street. I am grateful to the Lviv IT Cluster, Kormotech, and Enzym Group for their commitment and active social engagement,”<\/em> said Andriy Moskalenko<\/strong>, First Deputy Mayor of Lviv.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that on the morning of September 4, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Lviv with missiles and kamikaze drones. The attack resulted in 8 fatalities, including one child.
