This means that today even more people can independently, without barriers or outside assistance, use public services online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1388\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/itcluster.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-63346\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Image: The citizen\u2019s workspace interface on the Diia portal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has been updated?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The public part of the Diia portal \u2014 pages with news, the list of services, and informational content;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The citizen\u2019s workspace \u2014 where users apply for services and interact with public services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A number of popular services, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>compensation for arranging a workplace for a person with a disability;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an extract from the Unified State Register;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a military registration document;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>information from the State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has changed for users?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1388\" height=\"1038\" src=\"https:\/\/itcluster.lviv.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-63350\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Image: Key updates to the Diia portal for people with disabilities<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kitsoft team has implemented a number of important updates that make using the portal simpler and more accessible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>clear labels for all buttons and fields<\/strong> \u2014 screen readers now correctly voice all elements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>improved text and interface contrast<\/strong> \u2014 information is easier to read, particularly for people with visual impairments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>a clearly visible focus indicator<\/strong> \u2014 it is clear which element currently has keyboard focus;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>convenient keyboard-only navigation <\/strong>\u2014 the entire service journey can be completed without a mouse;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>quick access to key page content <\/strong>\u2014 saves time and simplifies orientation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>correct voicing of errors and system messages <\/strong>\u2014 users immediately understand what needs to be fixed;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>more accessible PDF documents <\/strong>\u2014 they are now easier to view and use when receiving services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to these changes, people with disabilities can independently use the portal\u2019s services \u2014 without additional barriers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accessibility at the platform level<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Diia portal and dozens of services operate on the low-code Liquio platform developed by Kitsoft. That is why we implemented the principles of digital accessibility not only in the interfaces, but also at the level of the entire platform \u2014 in processes, scenarios, and the logic of service interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interfaces are adapted in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 AA standard \u2014 an international digital accessibility standard recommended for public services in EU countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A good service is invisible<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kitsoft worked on accessibility not only at the level of code and interfaces, but also at the level of processes. The team looked at the portal through the eyes of users \u2014 with different needs, experiences, and ways of interacting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve this, the team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>conducted a digital accessibility audit to understand where barriers might arise;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integrated barrier-free principles into design and development \u2014 so that accessibility is considered at every stage of service creation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prepared recommendations and guidelines for teams working with the portal and its services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cMost of these changes do not have a separate button or a bright visual effect \u2014 they work in the details. It is precisely such updates that determine how stable, predictable, and accessible a service is for people with different ways of interacting with the interface\u201d, \u2014 <\/em>notes <strong>Dmytro Yukhymenko, <\/strong>UX\/UI designer at Kitsoft.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This approach helps make services clear, predictable, and convenient for everyone \u2014 regardless of physical abilities or usage methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A foundation for future digital services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Improving accessibility makes services clearer for all users: navigation becomes simpler, interfaces more logical, and interaction with the state more comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cDigital accessibility is part of responsible development. For the Kitsoft team, inclusivity is not a separate project, but part of the approach to creating digital solutions.
