The group of IT product companies Vchasno Group has increased its stake in the home medical care service “Medics Opika” to 73.5%, becoming its majority owner. The partnership of the companies began back in 2025 with the first investments of the IT business in the development of the medical service.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Medics Care”, founded in 2020 by Oleksandr Rusin, specializes in supporting seriously ill patients at home. The service operates under a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). Regular medical care at home and education of relatives allow the company to reduce the load on hospitals and emergency medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the service covers 19 regions of Ukraine. More than 350 doctors of various specialties serve 8,000 patients, making about 35,000 visits per month. According to the company, during 2025, Medics Opika scaled its activities eight times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mykola Paliienko, Co-Founder and CEO of Vchasno Group<\/strong>, the investment was driven by the company\u2019s operational model, scalability potential, and the key role digital tools play in its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Healthcare digitalization is no longer a future ambition \u2014 it is a necessity. Digital tools enable quality control, service tracking, and transparent collaboration with public institutions. This directly aligns with our mission to simplify and improve transparency in interactions between businesses and the government. That’s why we see strong long-term potential in this sector.”<\/em> says Mykola Paliienko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For Vchasno Group, the investment is a natural extension of its focus on digital transformation and public-sector collaboration. The group believes that technology can play a key role in improving the efficiency and transparency of healthcare services. This approach builds on Vchasno Group\u2019s experience in developing digital platforms that connect businesses with public institutions, including Zakupivli.Pro, one of the accredited marketplaces within Ukraine\u2019s Prozorro public e-procurement system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Medics Opika, joining the group is primarily aimed at strengthening its operational model. Key focus areas include procurement planning, management of medical team logistics, and quality control of healthcare services. The Medics Opika brand and management autonomy will remain unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In our sector, growth depends directly on operational efficiency. The better our processes are organized, the more patients we can serve without compromising quality. It also allows us to offer competitive compensation to healthcare professionals, which is critical in a market facing a shortage of medical staff.”<\/em> comments Volodymyr Buzhan, CEO of Medics Opika.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

By the end of 2026, Medics Opika plans to continue expanding its operations. Key priorities include strengthening its presence in local communities and district centers, developing specialized healthcare services, and increasing support for veterans recovering from severe injuries. The company notes that it already works with hundreds of veterans who require ongoing medical care and support at home after being discharged from hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
