On June 19, Lviv IT Cluster welcomed representatives of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and leading Taiwanese media outlets for the first time. The delegation was led by TAITRA President Chih-Fang Huang and Executive Director Li-Kai Lin. The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine\u2019s Tech ecosystem and Taiwan\u2019s high-tech sector.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lviv IT Cluster team provided an overview of the current state of Ukraine\u2019s technology industry and presented the association\u2019s key projects. Among them were IT Arena, the largest tech conference in Ukraine and Eastern Europe; the IT Meets series of professional events; the IT Club Loyalty program for IT professionals; and educational projects aimed at strengthening the industry’s talent pipeline. The delegation also learned about IT Research Ukraine and the IT Research Salary Report \u2014 projects that provide comprehensive insights into the state, development trends, and economic impact of Ukraine\u2019s IT industry. Delegation representatives were briefed on the main indicators of the Ukrainian IT sector\u2019s development. They discussed the role of the technology community in strengthening the country\u2019s resilience amid the full-scale war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key focus of discussion was fostering cooperation between Ukrainian IT companies and Taiwanese high-tech enterprises. The participants also explored potential areas for partnership, knowledge exchange, and opportunities to engage Ukrainian companies in international technology platforms and professional communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abInternational partnerships are an important component of developing Ukraine\u2019s technology ecosystem. Taiwan is one of the world\u2019s leaders in technology and innovation, and we highly value the opportunity to strengthen dialogue between our communities. We are pleased that our cooperation will continue in the near future, with TAITRA representatives set to join IT Arena 2026 for the second time. The event will provide new opportunities to expand business ties, foster innovation, and deepen international partnerships. I am confident that today\u2019s meeting marks another important step toward the development of our long-term cooperation\u00bb<\/em>, said Sviatoslav Kavetskyi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Acting Director of the Lviv IT Cluster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of TAITRA also presented one of their flagship projects, COMPUTEX, one of the world\u2019s most influential technology conferences that annually brings together leading tech companies, startups, investors, and industry experts from around the globe. The participants also discussed opportunities to deepen the integration of Ukraine\u2019s technology community into global professional networks and international collaboration platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We see not only a high level of technical expertise, but also a mature ecosystem that brings together business, education, and innovation around shared industry development goals.
