In late June, Gda\u0144sk became a global hub for discussions on Ukraine\u2019s future. The city hosted a series of high-level events focused on the country\u2019s recovery, international cooperation, and investment opportunities. For Lviv IT Cluster, participation in these events provided an opportunity to present Ukraine\u2019s technology industry as one of the key contributors to the country\u2019s post-war reconstruction.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IT as a Pillar of Ukraine\u2019s Resilience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 24 June, the Lviv IT Cluster team joined Lviv Resilience Day<\/strong>, an event organized by Lviv City Council dedicated to strengthening urban resilience through initiatives in rehabilitation, energy, and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sviatoslav Kavetskyi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster, moderated a panel discussion on the role of the IT industry in strengthening Ukraine\u2019s resilience. The discussion featured Nick Bilogorskiy, CEO of Nova Ukraine, and Valery Krasovsky, CEO of Sigma Software, President of Diia.City Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion focused on the technology sector\u2019s adaptation to operating in wartime conditions, workforce challenges, and tech industry\u2019s contribution to the development of Ukrainian cities, regions, and the country\u2019s long-term economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same day, the Cluster team took part in two more thematic events on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026<\/strong>. The first, organized by Diia.City Union in partnership with EIT Community Hub Ukraine, focused on Ukraine\u2019s integration into Europe\u2019s innovation ecosystem. The second, Joint Future via<\/strong> Defence Programs<\/strong>, brought attendees together to discuss international defence cooperation and the development of security technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026: Shaping the Future of Ukraine\u2019s Recovery<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 25\u201326 June, Gda\u0144sk hosted the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026<\/strong> (URC)<\/strong>, the annual international conference dedicated to coordinating Ukraine\u2019s recovery efforts. For the first time, the event took place in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together delegations from more than 100 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by the governments of Poland and Ukraine, the conference united representatives of governments, international financial institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations. Discussions focused on five strategic priorities: business cooperation, regional development, European integration, human capital, and security and defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abURC is one of the few platforms where fundamental decisions on Ukraine\u2019s recovery are shaped. It is important for us to be there not as observers, but as the voice of an industry that is already one of the country\u2019s key economic pillars. The IT sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout the war, positioning it as an important contributor to Ukraine\u2019s post-war recovery\u00bb<\/em> said Sviatoslav Kavetskyi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

During the conference, the Lviv IT Cluster team held a series of meetings with representatives of Enterprise Ireland, Expertise France, Latvian IT Cluster, the Embassy of Latvia in Ukraine, the Eastern Europe, Western Balkan and Central Asia Section of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, GIZ, Swiss partners, international donor organizations, and prospective Cluster partners. The discussions centered on expanding international cooperation, supporting Ukraine\u2019s technology sector, and developing joint initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team also met with representatives of Ukrainian IT companies, including both current Lviv IT Cluster members and prospective new member companies. These meetings focused on the industry’s current needs, community development, and opportunities for future collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine\u2019s IT Industry: A Strategic Partner in Recovery<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lviv IT Cluster\u2019s participation in the international events in Gda\u0144sk reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting Ukraine\u2019s technology industry globally and building partnerships that will support the country\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the challenges of the full-scale war, the IT industry remains Ukraine\u2019s second-largest export sector. In 2024, computer services generated $6.45 billion in export revenue, while in the first eleven months of 2025, the figure reached $5.97 billion. These results demonstrate that the technology sector is not only one of the key drivers of Ukraine\u2019s economy today but also one of its most important assets for the country\u2019s future reconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
