The Supervisory Board of Lviv IT Cluster has selected Mykhailo Lemak as the organization\u2019s new CEO. Mykhailo is a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war and an experienced executive with over two decades of leadership experience in the private, public, and civil society sectors. The decision follows a months-long open selection process led by the Supervisory Board. Mykhailo stepped into the role on July 8.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abLviv IT Cluster is, above all, a community. My role is to ensure that every decision the organization makes reflects the real needs of our member companies. That’s where everything begins. In the near future, we’ll hold a Strategy Session with Cluster members to align our priorities and make sure that everything we do creates real value for our community,\u00bb<\/em> said Mykhailo Lemak, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The new CEO presented his vision for the organization’s development to member companies at the MAP Assembly on July 8. Among the key priorities for the next two years are increasing value for member companies, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening the Cluster’s international positioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the first major events under Mykhailo’s leadership will be IT Arena 2026 \u2014 the annual international tech conference taking place in Lviv on September 25\u201327.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Mykhailo joined the country’s defense effort. He spent over two and a half years in active combat zones \u2014 including nearly a year and a half as Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration for Digitalization. He served as an officer of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to that, Mykhailo Lemak led LEM Station \u2014 a project to transform a tram depot in Lviv into a center for innovation and creative entrepreneurship. He headed the NGO Creative City Lviv and co-authored Lviv’s Competitiveness Strategy through 2027. He also has a background in media: from 2017, he served as a partner of the Creative City Lviv project; in 2018, he co-founded Creatives, an online magazine covering the creative economy; and in 2018\u20132019, he was a managing partner of Radio Skovoroda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
