WHO IS AN HR SPECIALIST?

An HR manager is a professional who recruits employees, assesses their abilities and potential, analyzes and forecasts employee development, maintains an overall comfortable climate in the team, and designs performance evaluation and motivation systems. An HR specialist seeks ways to make the best use of “human capital” because employees should work not much and hard, but efficiently and effectively.

About the program

The training of specialists in the HR Management in Public Authorities and Business program is provided by the Department of Economics and Public Administration at the Faculty of Finance Management and Business. This program was developed in close cooperation between Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and companies of the Lviv IT Cluster. The program is designed to promote the development of leadership qualities and the realization of the ambitions of young people in the field of HR management and to shape the mindset of an effective HR specialist.

In every organization, the work of an HR manager has its specific characteristics. However, the development of both individual companies and the state as a whole always depends on the professionalism of these specialists. A competent professional in personnel management is always a desirable employee in any organization. Considering the challenges of today, we have developed and implemented an innovative educational program “HR Management” in collaboration with stakeholders.

If you are reading this message, then you have chosen the right path and internally feel that working with people is your calling. My name is Maria, and I am the curator of the HR Management program. I will do everything possible to provide you with an understanding of what a real HR Manager is and what their mission entails. I will share practical case studies as I have been working in this field for the last 6 years. I will guide you on how to work effectively with different personality types and quickly build relationships. We will have regular meetings, where, as your curator, I will inquire about your expectations from the course, and each time we will strive to fulfill them together. Remember, there are no difficult or incomprehensible people, just the right “key” for interacting with them hasn’t been found. So, I will teach you how to choose a valid “key” and use it correctly.
