A New Educational App for Children from Five Systems Development, Now Available in Ukraine

Five Systems Development is excited to introduce a new free mobile app designed especially for children from preschool age up to 4th grade. This is the first step in the large-scale educational initiative called Five Pillars Education, which covers four key areas of learning: math, reading, logic, and physical activity. Each of the apps in this project will be fully adapted to the education system of the country where it is used, ensuring maximum relevance and effectiveness.

The Learning Experience That Was Missing

During market research, the team identified a major gap: most educational apps are geared toward teenagers or older students. Meanwhile, younger children aged 4 to 9 have very limited access to high-quality, localized, and truly useful digital resources.

The events of recent years — the COVID-19 pandemic, the shift to remote learning, the ongoing war, and the overall instability in the country — have only increased the demand for accessible tools that support independent learning. That’s how the idea was born: to create a free and easy-to-use platform that complements the school curriculum without overwhelming the child, and instead makes learning engaging and fun.

Mathy — The First App in the Series

The first product in the series is Mathy, an app focused on learning math through play. It was created in close collaboration with educators and designers to combine learning and fun in one simple solution.

The app includes:

  • 300 unique mini-games covering core topics from the school curriculum;
  • Daily tasks that help children develop a habit of regular learning;
  • A reward and bonus system that motivates kids to keep playing and learning;
  • Parental controls and progress tracking in an easy-to-use format;
  • Adjustable difficulty levels to suit each child’s learning pace;
  • A fun storyline with characters, which can be turned on or off depending on the child’s preference.

Mathy features a colorful design and an intuitive interface made specifically for the youngest users. All tasks are presented in a game format to ensure that children see learning as an adventure, not a chore.

Learning Should Be Accessible

Mathy is now available for free on Android. Five Systems Development believes this is just the beginning of a new era of accessible education for children in Ukraine.
