ARX joins the Lviv IT Cluster

A new partnership between one of Ukraine’s largest insurance companies and the country’s biggest IT business association, with practical implications for the 300+ tech companies and roughly 100,000 specialists who make up the Cluster.

ARX has joined the Lviv IT Cluster. It’s a short sentence, but it covers a lot. One of Ukraine’s leading insurance companies will now work alongside the country’s largest association of IT firms, share access to its members, take part in the Cluster’s projects, and over time try to shape the kinds of insurance products that Ukrainian tech actually buys.

Why this, and why now? Both sides will tell you it comes down to people. ARX is in its 31st year on the Ukrainian market. The Lviv IT Cluster, while younger, has spent the last decade pulling more than 300 companies, the city, the universities and an army of volunteers into something that, especially after February 2022, looks less like a business association and more like working infrastructure. The values both sides keep using (responsibility, transparency, support for Ukrainian professionals) are not slogans here. They are table stakes.

One specific focus is the insurance market itself. Most products in Ukraine were designed for a pre-pandemic, pre-war economy. Distributed teams, sudden relocations, cyber incidents, frequent travel: these don’t fit neatly into the older templates. ARX and the Cluster plan to research what tech companies and their teams actually need, pilot products on real users, and work together on the less glamorous but no less important things like financial literacy, welfare programmes and employee benefits.

There is also a regional side to this. ARX runs a dedicated directorate in Lviv, a team handling underwriting, claims and the day-to-day with corporate clients. For Cluster members that means a real office and real people nearby. Someone to call when a deal needs to move quickly. Face-to-face consultations. A claims service that knows the city. The Lviv office is not a satellite branch. It is where a lot of the work happens.

“The Lviv IT Cluster has done something most associations only talk about. It has actually changed the way an entire sector behaves,” said Andriy Peretyazhko, Chairman of the Management Board at ARX. “For us this is not a marketing move. We chose this partner deliberately, because we share an idea of what business should look like: people first, long relationships valued over quick wins, openness to new ideas. What I want Cluster members and IT specialists to feel is that insurance is not paperwork. It is a working tool, for them, their families and their companies. We have a lot of work ahead to make our products feel that way, and we would rather do that work with the Cluster than around it.”

What Cluster members can use

In practice, ARX is offering Cluster companies the things they actually ask for: corporate health insurance for teams of any size, life and accident cover for staff and families, war-risk insurance (corporate and motor), business-travel and leisure-travel policies, office property and equipment coverage, and personal terms on CASCO and MTPL for IT employees. Expect ARX specialists at Cluster events too, running training sessions, taking questions, leading workshops. Less performance, more practical work.
