AWT Bavaria became an official partner of the Lviv IT Cluster

AWT Bavaria has always been committed to its values. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, AWT Bavaria has been actively helping Ukraine and making a significant contribution to strengthening, protecting, and rebuilding our country. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, AWT Bavaria has allocated almost UAH 200 million to help Ukraine. 

AWT Bavaria cooperates with the official fundraising platform UNITED24 and other organisations to understand the most pressing needs and effectively target resources. The company also actively supports logistics and demining projects, helping to save the lives of Ukrainians both on the front line and in the rear.

AWT Bavaria and the main areas of charity: 

• At the beginning of the full-scale war in March 2022, the company transferred UAH 4,000,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the NBU.
• In October 2023, AWT Bavaria handed over 21 pickup trucks to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration as part of the Ukrainian defence project, along with the fundraising platform @u24.gov.ua.

In January 2024, another batch of 15 pickup trucks was handed over to the Kyiv Military Administration to protect citizens and critical infrastructure, along with the @u24.gov.ua fundraising platform.

• In January 2023, AWT Bavaria became part of the reconstruction project. Through the UNITED24 platform, we financed the restoration of the first strategic bridge in the Mykolaiv region. 

For October 2023, the company has fully funded the reconstruction of 10 bridges through @u24.gov.ua. 

• Construction and reconstruction of bomb shelters in schools. So far, we have rebuilt bomb shelters in three schools: one in Odesa region for €20,000 and one in Kyiv region for €100,000. We are currently working on the largest school with a bomb shelter, which is located very close to the front line, and are investing about €250,000 in the project.
• Participation in the development and implementation of robots for logistics and demining. AWT Bavaria, as the first donor of this project, donated UAH 24 million, which allowed us to purchase 45 devices – 25 logistics and 20 demining robots.  This project is one of the key factors for winning the war, which will save civilian and military lives.
• The company’s support of the new UNITED24 Safe Skies project as the first donor with a contribution of $288,000 for an air target identification sensor system. This amount is enough to effectively protect 25,000-30,000 km² of Ukraine’s territory.
• Reconstruction of the irrigation system in Kherson region. More than 150 local residents of the area now work for businesses that depend on the irrigation system that AWT Bavaria is restoring with a contribution of UAH 11,530,000.
• AWT Bavaria X UNITED24: Reconstruction and medical aid to Okhmatdyt.

On 8th of July, Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital, Okhmatdyt, which treats more than 20,000 children from all over the country, came under Russian attack. AWT Bavaria was one of the first and second from the largest donors to United24’s fundraising efforts, contributing UAH 10,000,000.

• In addition to large aid projects, AWT Bavaria supports local initiatives. One of these projects is Para Volan: 50% of the online store’s profits are transferred to the public charity PARAVOLAN in the Evacuation area. Over the year, we raised €60,000 and were able to evacuate more than 100 seriously ill children from the frontline to safe places in Ukraine and Poland.  
• Another recent initiative – the “UNBREAKABLE” project. In 2023, BMW Motorrad Ukraine together with Iron Custom Motors rescued a damaged BMW R18 from a destroyed dealership in Kharkiv. Talented craftsmen took this symbol of resilience and turned it into an impressive custom motorcycle called the Unbreakable. The team presented it at various international festivals and held a charity auction in December 2023. In early August, the money was used to buy two cars for large foster families under the care of the Olena Zelenska Foundation. For many of us, Unbreakable has also become a symbol of faith in victory and our common future.
• AWT Bavaria X Happy Paw: Comfortable living.

As part of the initiative, for every MINI car sold in Ukraine, the company donates UAH 10,000 to support the Comfortable Living project. The first object for the joint efforts of the partners will be the renovation of premises in the Mykolaiv shelter ‘Ray of Goodness’, which currently houses 160 cats, including safe and comfortable living conditions. A contribution of UAH 150,000 was made.
