Burner Investment Fund Turns Three

This May, the Burner investment fund, part of the Boosta ecosystem, celebrates its third anniversary. Over these years, the team has grown from an idea on slides to a fully-fledged player in the Private Equity and Venture Builder space.

“In 2022, we started with just one person, no structure or legal entity — only Excel files and a vision. Today, we are a team of seven professionals, with a clear strategy, dozens of projects, and solid results,” says Yaroslav Svyrydiuk, Managing Partner at Burner.

The fund invests in B2C and B2C2C products with a focus on Western European and North American markets, where niche volumes exceed $300 million. Over the past three years, the team has invested in 16 projects, 12 of which remain active — and more than half of them are businesses launched within the new Venture Builder direction.

This approach has become one of the key shifts in the fund’s operations. It enables Burner to build companies from scratch in partnership with ambitious founders who have relevant experience and want to scale fast. The fund provides not only capital but also operational support — including a team, expertise, and a strong network.

“We don’t invest in ideas — we invest in people, synergy, and clear math. Our philosophy is not to wait for perfect businesses but to build them with those who share our vision and ambition,” Yaroslav Svyrydiuk explains.

Burner’s portfolio shows strong momentum: over the past year, the fund has exceeded its own targets by 1.5 times. That’s why the team has set even more ambitious KPIs for 2025.

In the near future, the fund plans to expand the team — they’re actively looking for investment managers, analysts, and growth managers. They also plan to continue investing, launching new co-founded businesses, and aim to become one of the top five venture builders and investment funds in Central Europe within their niche.
