Call for Participants: Join Teens in AI, Global Artificial Intelligence Techathon 

Ukraine will participate in the Teens in AI Global Techathon for the second time. The competition is held in over 60 countries worldwide. We invite students, teachers, and educators from state and municipal educational institutions to apply by February 2nd for the selection stage, running until February 10th.

Students can register individually or with a mentor (teacher), creating a team of 5-6 schoolmates.

Requirements for students to join:

• Age: 12–18; 
• Knowledge in AI, or mathematics/informatics;
• B1 level of English.

It’s essential that the team includes people of all genders, with women making up at least half of the team.

Who can be a mentor:

• A teacher or lecturer in mathematics, informatics, or technical subjects from state and municipal educational institutions;
• B1 – B2 level of English.

Deadline: February 2nd.

The organizing committee of the hackathon in Ukraine will select teams based on academic achievements in informatics and/or mathematics, motivation level, and English proficiency.

Hackathon participants will have the opportunity to attend online events such as “Inspiration Week,” and “Bootcamp Week,” join presentations from AI industry leaders, and experts on AI ethics, and design thinking; communicate with technical mentors, and access online AI courses.

10 teams from Ukraine will be selected to undergo training from the organizers in February-March and participate in the national stage of the hackathon, which will take place online on March 29-30.

The international selection of the top 10 teams worldwide will take place from April 4-18.
Based on the results, the winning teams will have the opportunity to represent their countries on the international stage – at the International Demo Day conference on April 24, 2025.

#TeensInAI2025 is an opportunity to join the global community of future AI leaders and present your projects at the Global Demo Day.

The winners of the international stage will gain invaluable experience, valuable contacts, and prizes from the event organizers and partners.

This event is organized by Teens in AI with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Lviv IT Cluster.
