Lviv IT Cluster, the biggest tech community in Ukraine, expresses its support for the Danylo Halytsky Lviv International Airport Director, Tetyana Romanovska. We believe that any attacks on management are a threat to the airport and will have a negative impact on the strategic development of our city.
The IT industry is one of the largest export industries in Ukraine, 95% of technology companies’ customers are from abroad, which involves frequent travel of both company representatives to customers and customers to Lviv. We make tens of thousands of trips each year through Lviv International Airport to the countries such as the United States, UK, Germany, Israel, and other countries in Europe and the world.
We consider any attempt to influence the airport management and team as a risk that could lead to a slowdown in developing this crucial element of the city’s infrastructure and our industry in particular.
The airport is not only a building. First and foremost, a team can manage this asset and creates value for the city’s residents and the business community. Over the past five years, the airport has shown a significant increase in passenger traffic to almost 2 million passengers in 2019, 30.4% more than in 2018. We are among the top three airports in Ukraine. We are confident that Tetyana Romanovska and her team will bring Lviv to the 2nd position in the all-Ukrainian rating in the coming years.
Lviv Airport is a success story of our city, which we will all defend.
