It is the third time that the company offers veterans to master the basics of computer science and programming, in order to then choose one of the IT professions. The Program “IT for veterans” is free and it starts in October in an online format.
During the studies the participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the basics of IT and learn about software development. All of that is necessary to acquire a new IT profession no matter the previous experience, education, age or location.
“ІТ for veterans” will be conducted in two stages. The first stage provides for learning in Ukrainian the basics of programming, computer science, and math for IT. It lasts for six weeks. Having successfully completed this stage, veterans will be able to choose a direction they wish to study deeper in English. Among the available courses are the following: Java, .NET, Test Automation, Manual Testing, Cloud & DevOps, Front-End, Вusiness Analysis. The duration in this case depends on the course.
The number of participants is limited to 50. The conditions include: being a veteran, level of English A2+ and a desire to become an IT specialist. The study sessions with EPAM experts will be held three times a week, however independent studying is also expected of the participants. Please register and find out more details at this link.
To make studying more comfortable for veterans there will be mentors’ support available for the participants. More than 100 veterans and members of their families have completed this program in the previous waves of studying.
