EPAM Volunteers Have Joined in Creating an Online Platform that Simplifies the Delivery of Humanitarian Goods

A team of volunteers from the Ukrainian office of EPAM (NYSE: EPAM), a leading digital transformation services and product engineering company, has joined the development of the State Humanitarian Aid System (customs.help.gov.ua) — a special online platform initiated by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The online platform shows the entire volume of humanitarian goods received in Ukraine, making the process predictable and transparent from the moment of registration up until delivery to the destination.

The platform intends to optimize the customs clearance of humanitarian cargo on the Ukrainian borders. From now on, cargo of this type can be registered and declared online 2-3 times faster than before. The service is integrated into the country’s customs system and was launched in early May this year. More than 600 users have already taken advantage of the accelerated procedure.

A team of 10 specialists from the Ukrainian EPAM office, as well as several independent experts, worked on the platform on a volunteer basis. The platform was created in line with latest security and protection requirements.

The project team is working on supporting the current functionality and improving the platform further.
