Guarding Ukraine’s Borders: Lviv IT Cluster Donates Equipment to Border Guards

Lviv IT Cluster remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s Armed Forces and frontline defenders. On August 14th, in Kramatorsk, the Lviv IT Cluster donated essential equipment to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. This contribution is part of the Guardian project, under the broader Victory Projects initiative.

The essential equipment was delivered to representatives of the Operational Intelligence Directorate in Kramatorsk, who are actively engaged in repelling armed aggression. The 11th Border Guard Detachment, operatingin the Vovchansk direction, also received the equipment. The military units were provided with electronic warfare (EW) devices, backup power systems, and advanced communication terminals.

This equipment will significantly enhance the units’ ability to carry out combat missions efficiently and promptly. The EW devices will help neutralize threats from enemy drones, the backup power systems will ensure continued operations without a stable power supply, and the communication terminals will provide reliable communication between the units.

“We sincerely thank Lviv IT Cluster for their significant contribution to strengthening our defensive capabilities. The equipment provided will help us achieve positive results on the battlefield. Expect good news,” said the head of the border unit in the Kramatorsk direction.

The total value of the equipment exceeds 1,300,000 UAH. This is the seventh batch of equipment for the needs of the border guards as part of the Guardian project.

“It is important to remember that the war is ongoing, and we, as the largest community of tech companies in Ukraine, are coordinating all our efforts towards achieving Victory. It is a great honor for us to have the opportunity to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will not stop here and will continue to support our defenders,” added Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

The Guardian project, part of the Victory Projects initiative, aims to improve working conditions, training, and effectiveness of border guards. Launched in May 2023, the project has, with the support of over 300 member companies, allocated more than 15,000,000 UAH to meet the needs of border guards.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Lviv IT Cluster community has contributed over 126,485,000 UAH — equivalent to more than 3,645,100 USD – towards Victory Projects. These funds represent a substantial commitment from the Lviv IT Cluster’s member tech companies to Ukraine’s victory and a powerful demonstration of social responsibility.
