Students from Lviv Polytechnic National University recently participated in the Robotics Hackathon 2026. The final stages of the event took place in the spring of 2026 in SiTime and GlobalLogic.

The five-week hackathon brought together around 30 engineering students, with 15 making it to the finals. Participants worked on deploying solutions on a robotic arm and executing pick-and-place operations, culminating in five final project presentations.
The winners were selected based on the quality of execution, system stability, and engineering approach. The winning team earned an internship at GlobalLogic, while the top performers received opportunities to join the company.
“For the second consecutive year, we are hosting the Robotics Hackathon in partnership with Lviv Polytechnic. Around 20% of our consultants in Ukraine are alumni of this university, and it continues to lead in the number of trainees we onboard each year. Initiatives like this provide students with hands-on experience and valuable feedback,” notes Ihor Kostiv, Vice President at GlobalLogic.
The collaboration between GlobalLogic and Lviv Polytechnic dates back to 2018. Over the years, the partnership has driven numerous educational courses, practical training programs, and R&D projects. Recently, Lviv Polytechnic National University recognized GlobalLogic as the “Benefactor of the Year” for its ongoing support of education and science in Ukraine.

University representatives emphasize that participating in such events fosters students’ professional competencies and prepares them for the real-world challenges of modern engineering.
“Our goal is to ensure students gain as much practical experience as possible during their studies, and these joint initiatives with leading Ukrainian IT companies are the best way to achieve that. Over the years, student interest in these programs has only grown, and we see that quite often, this experience paves the way for their future careers,” comments Mykola Logoida, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Development at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
“GlobalLogic consistently collaborates with universities across Ukraine: over the past five years, the company has launched 9 joint programs, opened 6 educational labs, and engaged more than 300 students in educational initiatives. Overall, over 25,000 students have participated in the company’s hackathons and joint events,” concludes Ihor Kostiv, Vice President at GlobalLogic.
