Intellias in the List of the Youth-Friendly Employers

Ukrainian IT company Intellias was recognized as one of the 25 employers open to young professionals under 25. This is the fourth time STUD POINT has held this ranking to encourage more companies to hire young professionals. Openness to hiring specialists under 25 years is the main criteria by which employers are judged.

In 2021, the share of Junior specialists at Intellias doubled to reach 11%. The share of specialists under 25 is even higher and composes 13%. Intellias is actively involved in developing and training young talents. Thus, in 2021, the company launched an educational hub, IntelliStart.

“We are convinced that young talents are the key to the stable development of the Ukrainian IT industry. Over the last year, Intellias has been actively participating in the education of young professionals. We cooperate with universities, our experts become mentors and teachers for those who want to develop in the IT-sphere. It’s a great pleasure to see recent students joining our teams. IntelliStart allows future professionals to level up their knowledge, develop their skills, and successfully set off on a journey side by side with the Intellias experts. We want to drive forward the careers of a new generation of engineers”, said Roman Gapachilo, VP, Talent Management at Intellias.

IntelliStart consists of a practical IT school and boot camps. The school welcomes students and graduates of technical specialties. The company’s experts teach the courses and help Members gain practical knowledge in the most popular IT areas: Frontend, Java, .NET, DevOps, etc. Specialists, who already have work experience, can join the boot camps. There they can also upgrade their skills, working on an emulator project with the Intellias specialists as mentors.

The company actively cooperates with higher education institutions. Intellias specialists teach at universities, in particular, the Internet of Things program at Lviv Polytechnic National University. They also join professional schools such as DES 2022 Winter School at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and collaborate with career centers, such as the one based in Kharkiv National University. More to that, they mentor students’ projects, for instance, during a Kharkiv IT Cluster boot camp.

Intellias plans to continue supporting young professionals. In 2022, more than 10 programs are planned within the IntelliStart educational hub. Java, C ++, .NET, DevOps, Frontend, and QA remain the key areas. In total, it is planned to teach about 300 students, and the best of them will get an opportunity to join the company.

There is a number of activities planned with the top Ukrainian universities for 2022. We plan to cooperate in several areas: 1) to work on joint research projects with the Intellias specialists as mentors; 2) to implement dual education and create separate labs on the basis of universities. In addition, we plan to conduct career guidance training and events to help young talents develop in their profession. In the near future, Kyiv, Lviv, and Kharkiv students can look forward to participating in interesting initiatives.
