The Lviv IT Cluster is now collecting responses for the nationwide IT Research Ukraine 2024 survey. This initiative aims to assess the tech industry’s current state in the third year of the full-scale war. The Cluster has been conducting this comprehensive study of Ukraine’s tech sector since 2015 as part of the IT Research project.
Despite wartime challenges, technology remains a cornerstone of the Ukrainian economy. The tech sector leads Ukraine’s service exports, with computer services comprising 38.1% of the total volume. It holds the second position in Ukraine’s overall export structure, underscoring the importance of monitoring the industry’s health.
IT Research Ukraine will provide a thorough analysis of the country’s tech industry using a methodology refined over nine years. The study will also forecast the industry’s future, taking into account regional variations across Ukraine. This survey stands out for its unique depth and scientific approach, offering insights unmatched by other industry reviews.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine continues to support the IT Research Ukraine project for the third consecutive year.
“Developing the tech sector is a key priority for our ministry. We aim to foster systematic dialogue with the tech community to understand industry sentiments and challenges. The IT Research Ukraine survey will identify community challenges, help resolve them, determine work vectors, and uncover new opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to build the most effective ecosystem for technological business development in Ukraine,” says Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technology Development of Ukraine — Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
IT Research Ukraine 2024 results will be published in November this year.
The survey aims to encompass at least 7,000 tech industry representatives and 400 tech companies. To optimize planned representativeness indicators, we will use preliminary market monitoring results and structural insights for sample weighting. For indicators close to 50%, we expect a theoretical error not exceeding 2.1%, with a confidence probability of 0.954. The Lviv IT Cluster has commissioned the Fama Research Agency to handle the sociological component, economic analysis, and data verification.
