Lviv IT Cluster Donates Equipment to Drone Systems Specialists

On September 10, as part of the Victory Projects initiative, Lviv IT Cluster provided cutting-edge equipment for the needs of drone systems specialists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The new equipment was delivered to the “Inquisition” drone systems battalion of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. This unit specializes in reconnaissance, surveillance, and combat operations using UAVs, including patrolling, monitoring positions, detecting, and neutralizing threats. The request for assistance came from Yurii Kaminovskyy, co-owner of Lionwood.software tech company, who is currently defending our country.

“Today, we feel a double responsibility because the Lionwood.software team has always actively participated in our initiatives and supported our Victory Projects. We value this support and aim to provide help in return. Drones are the ‘eyes’ on the battlefield, offering a detailed view of what is happening over long distances and in hard-to-reach areas, saving time in obtaining critical information. The new equipment will significantly accelerate the military’s work and improve the efficiency of the personnel. We are grateful to all Lviv IT Cluster member companies that responded to the request,” noted Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.

The aid package included portable EcoFlow charging stations, batteries for Mavic drones, Starlink satellite communication systems, and other critical equipment. The total value of the equipment exceeds 600,000 UAH.

“Technology has a significant impact on the country’s defense capability and the effectiveness of combat missions. This war cannot be won with bullets alone. The military needs quality communication to make prompt decisions, allowing them to carry out missions with minimal risk to personnel. We thank Lviv IT Cluster and all the member companies for their assistance. Together, we will achieve victory,” emphasized Yurii Kaminovskyy, Head of the Civil-Military Cooperation unit of the “Inquisition” battalion of the 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Lviv IT Cluster member companies have contributed nearly 130,000,000 UAH to Victory Projects, equivalent to over 3,645,000 USD.
