The Lviv IT Cluster works on developing the technological industry in the region and the country in collaboration with government and education representatives. For more than 11 years, the community has been involved in projects addressing socially essential areas for the tech industry, such as education, law, infrastructure, and promotion.
The Lviv IT Cluster currently employs about 60 highly qualified specialists, with its main headquarters in Lviv. Last year, the Lviv IT Cluster opened a Collaboration Office in Kyiv to strengthen and improve the interaction between the tech industry and various levels of government.
In March 2022, in response to the full-scale invasion by Russia, the Lviv IT Cluster initiated the Victory Projects, a series of projects aimed at supporting business, military, critical, and civil infrastructure and enhancing regional security. During this time, the Lviv IT Cluster directed over 90.5 million UAH, equivalent to almost 2.7 million USD, towards the initiative.
The key focus areas of sustainable development that the Lviv IT Cluster oversees in Ukraine include ensuring quality education, city and community development, innovation implementation, and strengthening partnerships.
“We are proud to have the opportunity to join the UN Global Compact. This is a significant step in our mission – developing the tech industry, creating conditions for sustainable business conduct, advancing quality education, and transforming Lviv and Ukraine into an investment-attractive technological center. Together with partners, member companies, and stakeholders, we continue to work towards creating a better, more innovative future for all,” notes Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster.
