On December 8, Lviv IT Cluster transferred a new batch of equipment for the needs of the Air Command West within the SKY project.
The air defense forces of the western region received monitors, computers, communication and server equipment. In total, about 100 units of equipment for various purposes have been transferred. The equipment aims to strengthen the work of the Air Command West, that is currently implementing a new defense project.
“I cannot reveal the details of this stage of the SKY project, but I can assure you that it will strengthen our defense. Thanks to Lviv IT Cluster for being our reliable partner for six months and responding promptly to our requests,” says Denys Levkovych, a representative for the Air Command West.
The SKY project is one of the Victory Projects initiatives that the Lviv IT Cluster launched at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The goal of SKY is to help with the modernization of the Air Command West that protects the skies of eight regions of western Ukraine. As of December, the amount of assistance from the Lviv IT Cluster within the SKY project reaches 13,000,000 UAH.
“I am grateful to our community members for their continued support for Victory Projects, including the SKY initiative. We will continue to support the Air Defense Forces until victory and even after it. Modernization of air defense is essential. The better the equipment and the conditions in which people work, the better the result we see,” adds Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster.
According to the Air Command West, more than 700 rockets have been downed since February 24. This became possible, in particular, thanks to the volunteer support of the Lviv IT Cluster.
