On July 27, 2026, the Baden-Württemberg-Ukraine Business Forum took place in Stuttgart, focusing on the development of economic cooperation between Baden-Württemberg and Ukraine. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with Unternehmer Baden-Württemberg e.V., Baden-Württemberg International, the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of the state, and VDMA Baden-Württemberg, with support from the German-Ukrainian Forum e.V.

Speakers and participants of the forum included Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg; H.E. Oleksii Makeiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Germany; Khrystyna Zamula, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration; Günther H. Oettinger, former Vice President of the European Commission and former Minister President of Baden-Württemberg; as well as representatives of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, VDMA, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Alfred Kärcher, Diehl Defence, Daimler Truck, Rolls-Royce Power Systems, MAHLE, and other German and international companies.
As part of the panel “The Lviv Region – Opportunities Arising on the New Economic Partnership with Baden-Württemberg,” Svitlana Skrypka, Head of International Cooperation at Lviv IT Cluster, delivered a presentation. She spoke about Lviv region’s tech ecosystem and the Cluster’s key areas of work, noting that the number of tech specialists in Ukraine grew from 75,000 in 2014 to 303,000 in 2025 over the past decade.
Svitlana also presented IT Arena 2026 — Ukraine’s largest tech conference and a platform for building international partnerships, attracting investment, and developing business connections. The presentation was accompanied by the IT Arena 2025 aftermovie.
The forum brought together government, business, and industry representatives from Ukraine and Germany to discuss new opportunities for economic partnership, investment attraction, and cooperation in IT, artificial intelligence, healthcare, medical technology, and defense technology.
