On July 31, the Lviv IT Cluster team met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss potential areas of cooperation and the development prospects of Ukraine’s tech ecosystem.
The IMF delegation included Priscilla Toffano, IMF Resident Representative for Ukraine, along with IMF economists Vlad Filatov, Taras Ivanyshyn, and Ihor Shpak.
During the meeting, the Cluster team presented IT Arena — Ukraine’s leading tech event — and showcased CodeUA, a marketplace designed to help Ukrainian tech companies enter international markets. The IMF representatives expressed interest in effective collaboration formats with the tech industry and in supporting projects that contribute to the country’s economic resilience.
“Dialogue with the IMF is an opportunity to demonstrate how the tech sector is driving the transformation of Ukraine’s economy. We believe that investing in innovation ecosystems, education, and tech advancement is not just about industry growth — it’s about shaping a competitive economy as a whole,” commented Yurii Ohonovskyi, Deputy CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.
