On April 28, Lviv Regional State Administration announced the launch of an insurance initiative for healthcare personnel in Lviv and the region and created an Insurance Stabilization Fund for medical staff who contracted coronavirus. Lviv IT Cluster made a financial contribution using the funds raised as part of the United for Health emergency project. Besides, the IT companies members of Lviv IT Cluster joined the initiative. In particular, N-iX donated UAH 150,000.
“Every day, medical workers around the world and in Ukraine are exposed to danger while providing us with quality medical services and resisting the spread of COVID-19. Many of our citizens and Ukrainian companies have been helping with the supply of protective equipment. A reliable insurance programme is another vital step, which we hope will give our medics a sense of stability and support they deserve. We appreciate the help of all N-iX employees who generously donated to our fund to combat COVID-19. With their support, we are joining such significant initiatives and fighting the pandemic together,” said Andriy Pavliv, CEO & Founder, N-iX.
Within the frames of the initiatives, a lump payment of 15,000 UAH is provided to a healthcare worker who was diagnosed with coronavirus infection with a PCR test. Lviv Regional State Administration compiles lists of healthcare workers based on data provided by hospitals, which serve as pandemic centers and admit patients with COVID-19. The insurance fund is managed by UNIQA, an official partner of Lviv IT Cluster.
