Results of the Second Week of Mass Testing for COVID-19 in Lviv and Lviv Region

For the second week in a row, residents have been tested for COVID-19 in Lviv and Lviv region.

Within the frames of the emergency project United for Health, Lviv IT Cluster raised over 7 million UAH to purchase COVID-19 tests. At the beginning of this week, the second batch of tests was directed to the Department of Health in Lviv Regional State Administration to continue mass testing of residents who belong to high-risk groups.

4964 people were tested in Lviv region this week. Tests revealed 5 suspected coronavirus cases. In particular, 3 cases in Sokal, 1 in Horodok, 1 in Sokal, and 1 in a village Smolin, Yavoriv district. The individuals will be checked using PCR tests afterward. In total, 6215 people in Lviv region were tested for COVID-19, of which 8 were positive.

In Lviv, 2626 people were tested this week, and 21 tests were found to be positive. The individuals will be checked using PCR tests afterward. Overall, the number of people who were tested was 3877.
