robot_dreams Launches a Competition for the Best Spaghetti Code – How to Participate and What the Winner will Receive

In honor of its fourth anniversary, the educational platform Robot_Dreams is launching a competition for IT specialists. From October 10 to 24, participants can participate by submitting the strangest and most creative single line of code.

The contest’s purpose is to inspire creativity, expand networking opportunities by engaging with the community, and most importantly – to have fun. The winner will be awarded the title of Ukraine’s Best Linecoder and receive a $1,000 credit on any course offered by robot_dreams.

“We have spent four years building a systematic and practical education platform for IT professionals at robot_dreams, searching for the best formats and topics to meet our audience’s needs. The industry keeps evolving, and to stay ahead, you need to grow continuously. However, learning doesn’t always have to be serious. When we planned this competition, we decided to focus on celebrating the creativity, brilliance, and irony of our developers,” said Nadiia Zaviialova, CEO of Laba Group’s EdTech division in Ukraine, which includes robot_dreams.

How to participate in the Best Line of Code Competition:

• Register for the competition on the robot_dreams website.
• Solve an intriguing coding task or create your own and present the solution in a single line of code (up to 1,000 characters in any programming language).
• Submit your working one-liner to the organizers by October 24.

After submissions close, a jury from robot_dreams and experts from leading Ukrainian IT 

companies will select 10 finalists. The criteria for evaluating the entries include originality, execution, correctness, and code efficiency. The code should not only be surprising but also functional, despite being limited to one line.

Among the ten finalists, the participants themselves will vote to determine the best line of code through an open voting process. The winner will be announced on October 31.
