Scroll.media – A New Media Outlet About the Tech Business, Initiated by Lviv IT Cluster

A new media outlet dedicated to Ukraine’s tech industry – Scroll.media – has officially launched. Created through the initiative of Lviv IT Cluster and supported by nearly 30 Ukrainian tech companies, the project is powered by a team of experts with a deep understanding of the market’s challenges and needs. The editorial team is led by Illia Kabachynskyi.

Scroll.media focuses on the tech industry, startups, investments, and the broader ecosystem that supports them, including legislation, marketing, recruitment, and more. Its mission is to showcase Ukrainian businesses both domestically and internationally, promote them, attract investments, and advocate for the industry’s interests.

One of its key objectives is to increase the availability of information about Ukraine’s investment market. The outlet has already launched a database of active Ukrainian investors and a record of investments in Ukrainian startups and companies, dating back to the earliest deals in 2007. Currently, the database includes 1,150 investment records and continues to expand. Both databases are open and free to access.

Another key focus is Defense Tech. Ukrainian military innovations have captured the interest of European and American audiences, and Scroll.media aims to cater to this demand.

The outlet also plans to publish research, investigations, explainers, and stories spotlighting Ukrainian businesses.

At launch, Scroll.media operates in Ukrainian, with an English-language version set to debut in February.

What sets this media outlet apart is its unique funding model for Ukraine: it was backed by nearly 30 Ukrainian companies, rather than a single individual or entity. These businesses signed cooperation agreements ahead of time, laying the groundwork for the platform’s launch.
