The export of IT services grew by 27% in January-May of this year. Thus, the IT industry became the only sphere of business that grew in 2022.
In the first five months of 2022, the share of IT in all the export services amounted to 46%, compared to 37% a year earlier, reports an open data platform Opendatabot with reference to the NBU.
All export services remained at the level of the corresponding period in 2021 – $6,8 billion. At the same time, exports of goods decreased by 20% – from $22,5 billion to $17,9 billion.
Other business sectors also decreased in the period January-May 2022. The fall was recorded in the main categories, such as ferrous metals – 38%, food industry – 6%.
