Ukrainian Tech Marketplace CodeUA Recognized on the Global Digital Stage

The Ukrainian tech marketplace CodeUA has received an international design award from the A’ Design Award and made it to the shortlist of the prestigious Webby Awards. The CodeUA platform was created through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Lviv IT Cluster in collaboration with the tech company Linkup Studio.

A’ Design Award & Competition

The Ukrainian tech marketplace CodeUA won a Silver Award in the Website and Web Design category at the A’ Design Award & Competition. This is one of the most distinguished global design awards, recognizing the best design achievements worldwide annually, from website design to architectural solutions.

Winners are selected by an international jury of more than 200 designers, academics, journalists, and entrepreneurs. The design of the CodeUA website was recognized for its modern and intuitive interface and clear visual identity.

“Our goal was not just to create a beautiful website but to build a platform that reflects the value of the Ukrainian tech and business community. With the CodeUA project, we wanted to show that design is not just about aesthetics but also a strategic tool that builds trust, structures complex content, and creates a coherent experience. We worked to ensure that the product would feel like a living organism, conveying strength, transparency, and structure. We consciously avoided visual noise, preferring informativeness and a rhythmic balance between form and function. We believe that it’s precisely this approach that led CodeUA to gain international recognition. For us, it’s proof that a strategic approach to design truly gets noticed. And it matters,” said Andriy Sambir, CEO of Linkup Studio.

Webby Awards 2025

Another international recognition for the Ukrainian tech marketplace CodeUA is its nomination for the 29th Webby Awards — one of the most prestigious accolades in the field of digital technology, often referred to as the “Oscars” of the digital world. Every year, the Webby Awards receive thousands of entries from over 70 countries across various categories — from websites and advertising to AI products and podcasts. Previous Webby Award winners include such giants as Google, Apple, Pinterest, Spotify, and NASA.

The CodeUA platform was named one of five nominees in the Websites and Mobile Sites, Employment category.

“Being shortlisted for the Webby Awards or receiving Honoree status means recognition by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. This is a significant achievement for any team and a testament to the fact that Ukrainian tech professionals stand out for their expertise, skill, and creativity. They create solutions used daily by millions worldwide and collaborate with some of the world’s largest corporations, including Ryanair, Cisco, Motorola, Volvo, and Volkswagen. At Lviv IT Cluster, we are proud of what the CodeUA tech marketplace has achieved and grateful to everyone who contributed to the creation and development of the platform. Our mission remains unchanged: to make Ukrainian code known worldwide and strengthen our tech sector’s position on the international stage. That’s why we continue to improve the platform and seek new partnership opportunities,” commented Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of Lviv IT Cluster.
